	About DD Lingerie Ltd (Double-D.com) Founder & Managing Director Hi, my name is Linda Parrish-Smith. I'm the founder and Managing Director of Double-D.com. I've enjoyed 22 years retailing experience, the last 12 spent as the Lingerie Buyer for a major Department Store Group. Here I had a wide ranging role that included sourcing, selecting, buying, merchandising and marketing all the lingerie for the group. One thing I had great fun with was talking to local schoolgirls about the importance of starting off with a well fitting bra. I also supported a number of Breast Cancer charity fashion show fundraisers, which is where my interest in this area started. One of the biggest thrills I got during my regular sessions on the shop floors was seeing customers delighted to be able to buy well-fitting bras in larger sizes. I was often told how difficult it was for many of our customers to find these. It became something of a mission for me to help women have better access to hard-to-find sizes. A shop would be limited in it's reach, but the explosion of home shopping through the internet has given me the chance to make this happen. I had been working with Linda's husband for a couple of years when the idea for Double-D.com first came up. I liked the concept and after some extensive market research decided it would satisfy a real need. So I agreed to come on board and do the web design and general computer related stuff! I spent 17 years in the Royal Air Force as an engineering officer and have a Masters Degree in Advanced Aerosystems. For the past 3 years I have worked for several small high-tech companies developing testing programs, marketing and business plans.
