Triumph International
Triumph International is a multinational manufacturing and marketing organisation operating in around 120 countries around the world. Despite annual sales in excess of a massive 2.4 thousand million Swiss Francs, achieved by a workforce of 35,634, it is essentially a family business.
The company was founded in Germany in 1886 by the Spiesshofer and Braun families, who are still actively involved in its management. From small beginnings it has grown to be a leader in garment manufacture throughout the world.
Continually demonstrating a real commitment to employees, products and customers, Triumph’s reputation as an innovative, resourceful and caring company has been maintained since its earliest days.
Ever versatile, Triumph has kept up with, and increasingly led, fashion trends through the years, from corsets made for ladies of society in the late 19th century, to its wide range of fashionable styles for today’s markets in Underwear, Nightwear and Swimwear.
TRIUMPH IN THE UK
Swindon has been home to Triumph’s UK and Ireland operations since 1964 and it now occupies large purpose-built premises there. Although production is no longer carried out, this is the hub for all aspects of sales, marketing, warehousing, administration, accounts, planning and personnel.
DESIGNS ON YOUR BODY
Since its inception, the design department in Swindon has grown rapidly to cater for special areas not covered by the international organisation. For example, when Triumph discovered that the demand for DD plus bras was greater here than anywhere else, they addressed the problem by designing the Flaunt collection which is only in DD cups and above. Flaunt was launched in Autumn 1998 to great acclaim, and fronted by Kelly Brook — remember her on that famous biggest-bra-poster-ever which turned heads in the Cromwell Road? Nell McAndrew, the former body-double of Lara Croft is the current Flaunt girl.
A TOUCH OF CLASS
With over 100 year’s experience, there is no doubt that Triumph knows what women want when it comes to underfashions. Their Doreen bra, an international best-seller for over 30 years has won the "Classic Design" category at the Lingerie Industry Awards several times, while the revolutionary personal fit bra Simply Soft (sorry, only up to C cup!) has won the "Innovation with Lycra" award. And as a company, Triumph was presented with the top accolade "Supplier of the Year" for three out of the four years the awards have been running. As well as bras, Triumph produces briefs, slips, camisoles, bodies, night and homewear for every lifestyle, plus everything you could possibly want for the beach.
